Official State Gesture
Steve Sue, ID8 founder and Shaka film producer wrote a bill which was passed and signed into law by Hawai’i Governor Josh Green in 2024, making Shaka the Official State Gesture of Hawai’i. It is the first state gesture ever. The law also includes the building of a Shaka monument at a highly public location within the State of Hawai’i.
